The Ghetto

Core statement of this fast and rocky song is that we all live on this sole earth with its limited resources. It is our ghetto. And this is why we have to learn to share everything and to stop thinking in friend-enemy stereotypes. For example, isn't it sad that in this world some thousands of children die while this song plays? And we still cannot stop it. This is why I sing "I pray that someone comes and takes your hands and says: 'I love you.'" If we all did this, earth would change to better …

We all live, we all live in a ghetto.

Alone, we all are alone.
We have to share what is left
with enemies, with our friends.

Alone, we all are alone.
We have to care of those in need.
We have got to stop all hate and greed.

We all live, we all live in a ghetto.

While I sing some thousand children die.
While I sing bevailing voices asking "Why?"
The answer, the answer, the answer remains unheard.

While I sing so many people fight.
While I sing injustice make them cry.
The answer, the answer, the answer remains unheard.

We all live, we all live in a ghetto.

I'll pray that some comes and takes your hands and says: "I love you".
